  1. I really love this pattern & I want to ask your permission for something. On the first weekend on December, the ladies group at my church hold a craft/bake sale. All the money goes to outreach programs they support (food bank at the church, women/children home & a local homeless shelter). I am crocheting some items to donate to them this year (scarves, hats, ornaments, etc.) & I would like to include this ornament, with your permission. I will credit your site & you as the source of this item & state that it was created with your permission, should you grant it. Any items that are not sold at this sale will be given as gifts to family, friends, or coworkers they will not be sold in any other way. Please let me know if you are okay with this type of production or not. Look forward to hearing from you & thanks for your time.

    • Melanie I admire people who try to give back in any way to the community and support good causes

it would be an honour to include these ornaments for such a (!) beautiful (!) cause and become donations!!!!

DEFINITELY make as many as you want and I hope they and all the homemade crafts and food will generate more than needed for those in need and also give smiles to those who get them!!!

All the best and happy crochet :))))))))))))))))))))

      • Toma,

Sorry it’s taken so longgood me to get back to you. Thank you so much for allowing me to do this!! Money is pretty tight for me right now, but I wanted to help. This way I can put my love of crochet to go use ( and thin down my yarn stash!) & not have to try to scrape up some money. Hopefully I can make someone else smile because I think these are adorable!! I’ll let you know how things go at the sale.

Thank you again for you’re generosity & sharing your creative talent with me. Take care & happy crocheting!!

        Melanie

  2. Toma I love these Santa’s. My son is a Marine and I belong to a group that sends care packages to Marines around the world. Would you mind if I used your pattern to make these to include in care packages?

  4. Cute pattern and easy to make. However, when to you stuff the Polyfill? It is listed in the supplies needed, but is not mentioned in the directions.

    • Hi Sharon,
im not very familiar with US crochet hook, checking on US hooks on internet i’ve noticed different Numbering/Codes depending if the hook is steel or not, i use steel hook if this helps. you can use 2.25mm (US = 1/B or steel = 0) but it might be smaller and difficult to work with or 2.75mm (US = C) but the final project will be larger than the approximate size i indicate and looser stitches. my suggestion would be to get a full steel crochet hook range from ebay, they are quite cheap e.g. 22pcs crochet hooks or this one
